Year 4
Welcome to the Year 4 page.
A very busy and exciting year awaits the children in Year 4 as they will learn and accomplish lots of new skills.
This year, the children will start the Accelerated Reader programme which is an invaluable tool to develop independent reading and understanding. We also begin to use Teams for homework which enhances essential ICT skills to prepare for their future.
Of course, one of the major events of Year 4 is that the children will receive the sacrament of First Holy Communion next May. The children are already looking forward to their big day and preparations will be ongoing for this important milestone in your child’s life.
In Year 4, we aim to promote their growth, responsibility and independence in a fun, engaging environment. This will help to ensure a smooth transition to Key Stage 2.
We look forward to sharing the fabulous learning from our classroom throughout the year.
