Viking village trip - Ballyduggan
We embarked on an unforgettable adventure to a Viking village! The children had an amazing time stepping back in history and experiencing life as Vikings.
The day was packed with thrilling activities. The students tried their hand at archery, learning how to aim and shoot arrows just like Viking warriors. They also discovered the fascinating process of how Viking clothes were made and dyed, from spinning wool to weaving fabric.
One of the highlights was watching how Viking weapons were crafted. The children were captivated by the blacksmith’s skills and the intricate designs of the swords and shields.
To top it all off, the students participated in a mock battle with a Viking army! With Viking shields in hand, they learned battle formations and strategies, making it a fun and educational experience.
This trip was not only educational but also incredibly fun, leaving the children with wonderful memories and a deeper understanding of Viking history.
